Communication: Home and School
We believe communication is key to building trust, working together and having a collective understanding of our learners. We care for our learners and our families and are here to provide any support we can.
We currently use Seesaw to ensure regular communication and updates between home and school for each of our learners. The messaging part of the App allows families and staff to communicate between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Out with these times families should contact the Headteacher. The Learning Journal part of the App is for teachers to share highlights of achievements, with a minimum of 2 journals per week. School offers regular meetings to update families, (parents night, education reviews, Child’s Plans etc.) and a full annual report.
Staff working with the learner will communicate wellbeing needs, (personal care, diet etc.) using a system agreed in each room and in consultation with families.
Should something require discussion or more of an update teachers will make a call home.
We have been using the School App to share all whole school information and correspondence, this will be going. Whole school information will be shared via Group Call or email.
Any shortfalls in communication should be emailed to the HT: Jackie.urquhart@fife.gov.ukĀ
