Rosslyn School

Rosslyn School is a purpose-built special school located as part of Windmill Community Campus incorporating Viewforth High School, a local library and a local council office.

Rosslyn School supports learners with complex additional support needs within the Central Fife area.  The school has an Early Years, Primary, and Secondary provision and enrolment is on a ‘needs led’ assessment from the authority.

The school currently has five classrooms (max of 6 learners), a life-skills room, sensory room, calm room, hairdressers  and an outdoor sensory area which is accessible to all. We have use of the facilities within the campus and regularly use the Library, P.E. halls, Street (Dining Area), communal spaces, and Assembly Hall. We also have excellent use of community activities on our doorstep including shops, woods, parks, sports centres, Lochore Meadows, the beach, and Gallatown Community Garden.

We work very closely with parents and other professionals to deliver a curriculum rationale that meets the needs of our learners.

Each class has a specialist team that support our learners comprising of a Class Teacher and Pupil Support Assistants. Ratio’s are high as all of our learners require a high level of support to access the curriculum.

We are very proud of our welcoming and supportive ethos.
