The Christmas Fayre

It has been a busy term in primary 5/6 and we have worked extremely hard in our learning. As we are winding down at the end of a busy term, we would like to share our christmas fayre experience with you all.

Throughout this term we he have been learning about money and specifically profit and loss. The christmas fayre allowed us to see the relevance of profit and loss in a real life scanario.

We sold handmade cards, felt robin baubles and homemade truffles .We became more confident at counting and giving change as well.

Here are some comments on the things we enjoyed about the christmas fayre.

“The christmas fayre was really fun. I liked making the robins and all the posters. I also enjoyed selling them to other people” – Amy

“I worked at the stall first and it was fun counting up the money and watching our stuff sell fast.” – Abi

” enjoyed the raffle because it was fun” – Nathan

“I liked the pizza and being at the stall” – Harris

Here are some pitures of us in action!

In the end, the whole school raised over £800, not bad from a £20 budget per class but we thought that the hot chocolate was better! Thanks for reading, until next time!
