Our Playrooms at Paxton Nursery
At Paxton Nursery, our playrooms are the heart of everything we do. Each room is thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity, independence, and a love of learning from the very beginning. We believe that children learn best through play, exploration, and positive relationships — and our rooms reflect that philosophy.
Every space at Paxton is bright, inviting, and filled with opportunities for discovery. Whether it’s creating masterpieces in the art area, investigating nature, or enjoying quiet story time, our playrooms encourage children to learn through fun, hands-on experiences. Our caring staff carefully plan environments and activities that support each child’s stage of development while celebrating their individuality, interests, and achievements.
From our nurturing under-twos room to our engaging preschool areas, we aim to create a sense of belonging and joy in every corner of our nursery. The result is a welcoming, inclusive space where children feel happy, confident, and ready to explore the world around them.
🌻 Sunflower Room (Ages 3–5)
Our Sunflower Room is bright, welcoming, and full of opportunities for creativity and curiosity. Here, children are encouraged to be independent learners through play, problem-solving, and imagination. Our experienced staff support each child’s interests, helping them build confidence, develop friendships, and gain the skills they’ll need for their transition to school.
🌈 Rainbow Room (Ages 3–5)
The Rainbow Room offers a vibrant and engaging space for children aged 3–5. Through play-based learning and exploration, children develop communication, cooperation, and early literacy and numeracy skills. The environment encourages active learning both indoors and outdoors, allowing children to express themselves and learn through real-life experiences.
🦋 Butterfly Room (Under 2s)
Our Butterfly Room provides a calm, nurturing and homely setting for our youngest children. With plenty of cuddles, sensory play, and gentle routines, we focus on building secure attachments and supporting each child’s emotional and physical development. Every moment is about comfort, care, and curiosity.
