Outdoor and Indoor Clothing at Paxton Nursery

At Paxton Nursery, we believe that children learn, explore, and have fun best when they can play outdoors every day, whatever the weather. To help your child enjoy all our outdoor activities safely and comfortably, we ask that you provide appropriate clothing each day.

This includes:

• A waterproof suit and wellies so your child can enjoy muddy puddles, rainy days, and outdoor adventures.

• Indoor shoes, such as plimsolls or hard-soled slippers, to keep our playrooms safe and clean.

• In the summer months, please provide a sunhat and sun cream to protect your child while they play outside.

• A spare set of clothing in a bag each day, so your child can change if needed.

We encourage children to be independent by helping them dress themselves and take care of their belongings. Labelling all items clearly will make this much easier for your child and staff.

By providing the right clothing, your child can fully enjoy all the exciting learning opportunities we offer — from exploring our garden and outdoor play areas to taking part in sensory and messy play, whatever the weather!
