We’re excited to share our term dates and important closure information for the upcoming nursery year. Please keep this guide handy so you can plan ahead for holidays and special dates.

- Autumn Term: Wednesday 20 August 2025 – Friday 10 October 2025
- Winter Term: Monday 27 October 2025 – Friday 19 December 2025
- Spring Term: Monday 05 January 2026 – Thursday 02 April 2026
- Summer Term: Monday 20 April 2026 – Friday 03 July 2026
👩🏫 In-Service Days
Paxton Nursery will be closed to children on the following dates to allow staff training and development:
- Monday 18 August 2025
- Tuesday 19 August 2025
- Friday 14 November 2025
- Wednesday 11 February 2026
- Thursday 07 May 2026
We appreciate your understanding as we use these days to enhance our practice and ensure the best possible learning experiences for our children.
🚨 Unplanned Closures
In the event of severe weather or other unexpected circumstances, Paxton Nursery may need to close at short notice.
To make sure you receive updates as early as possible, please register for school and nursery closure alerts through Fife Council:
- Visit www.fifedirect.org.uk/alerts
- Select Closure Alerts
- Choose School Closure Alerts and follow the on-screen instructions to register
- Once registered, go to Alert Services → School Closure Alerts
- Select Paxton Nursery from the list, then scroll down and click Save
- You can then sign out
Once registered, you’ll receive a text message alert whenever there is an unplanned closure affecting Paxton Nursery.
