Our men fight
Right by their sides
Loved ones scared
Days go by no message
Worry about family
And some die and some live

I am in a bed now sound and sorrow.
Hearing gunshots time after time after time.
Falling solders in the bed.
Other soldiers risking their life for us to be safe.
Germans shooting at us.
Men losing their life to fight for us
Now it is night and Germans are ready to strike!
I am the trench getting ready to attack I am going up the ladder and I see lots of muster gas so I will half to put my gas mask on.

Life is like a box of chocolates
You never know what your gonna get
But what I got was nearly a threat
A vision of drowning and drowning we are
And a vision of bullets that are shot very far
I’m hit in the chest
I can hear a bell ring
The pain goes away I feel like the king
And as they are fighting they hear the birds sing
A bomb is now dropping its dropping on us
It was gigantic and just like a bus
I ran far away and I was not hurt but
when the bomb landed I was nearly burnt

Cold wet and shaking
Like a tree in the howling wind
Its time to go up
To the front to fight
To go against the Germans
To win the battle
I’m fighting now
I will keep fighting
To never give up
As long as I shall live
I give it everything I got
Like a silver medallist
Aiming for gold
Right now I’m terrified
I try to hide it away
I don’t want to get distracted
It’s a do or die situation
I just lost someone very close
He’s lying next to me now
As we keep fighting
I wonder what went through his mind
Was it quick for him? like a lightning bolt?
Was there pain? Like falling off a cliff into a big pile of rocks ?

The rooms get vast
And the rooms get kind of squashy

I have a hard time in the day
As solders want it there way
There is this one boy he always says hi
So I have a hard time thinking of a new

I have to shoot the Germans with a gun
For goodness sake why am I here
Everyone is scared its just fear
In the trenches it is dark
No one brought a light we’ve only a spark
The Germans are bombing
Hide or start running
Every one is going to die
The Germans have sent us gas
Ready boys shoot oh he already has
Every ones gun goes bang
No Germans come near or they will go twang
Change lads reload your guns
He will have to run
Every one is cheering the war is over
Singing and dancing hooray there is no more

Ready set go
