P7 have been very busy on the 1^st full week back. I’m am going to share some of our learning from this week.

 

 

Maths

 

In maths we have all done an assessment for second level. It consisted of fractions decimals mixed numbers top heavy fractions and more.

 

Writing

 

In writing we had to write a letter to Mrs Mackenzie that stated what we were excited for in P7 and what we would like to change to be different then P6.

 

Buddies

 

We have been working with our buddies all week at playtime and in outdoor learning. In outdoor learning we went on a scavenger hunt to find different types of leaves around the school. We also played with chalk and read stories outside.

 

Health and wellbeing

 

We made posters about how mind set is everything for example…

one might include a sad cloud who looks in the mirror and sees a bright rainbow.

 

PE

 

In PE we are learned a new game like netball. It was very fun and we all enjoyed playing it.

This week we started school on Wednesday and did art in the style of Romero Britto. We had a half piece of paper and wrote our name in the middle and designed the outside then we put them up on the wall under welcome to Primary 7. We talked about our summer and presented a power point.

 

Thursday we were learning about circles and using compasses to draw a perfect circle. In the afternoon we used our circles skills to create a 3D piece of art.

 

Friday we finished our piece of art. All week we had been working on our House Captain speeches a house captain is the head of each of house which are Waterstone, Inverdovat, Forgan and Tayfield. We are going to present them on Monday and the other classes will vote for who they want it to be.
