This week in Primary 6 has been very busy and creative!
In writing, we created spring poems titled “If Spring Could Talk.” We focused on using descriptive language, short poetic lines, and personification to bring spring to life. The poems were full of imagination and lovely ideas.
In numeracy, we have been learning how to multiply by multiples of 10 and have been practising our skills through word problems. We are becoming much more confident in explaining our thinking.
For outdoor learning, we teamed up with Primary 5 to build famous landmarks. It was great fun working together and seeing all the different creations.
We have also continued preparing for the Euro Quiz, which is taking place next week. Everyone has been working hard to learn lots of new facts!
This week, we enjoyed watching Newport’s Got Talent. A special well done to Lewis and Finlay who both performed. Finlay on the guitar and Lewis on the drums. We are very proud of them!
Finally, we continued our Daily Write. An amazing 90% of the class achieved the success criteria by using five different openers in their writing, fantastic effort!
