This week in Primary 6 we have been exploring symmetry across maths, art and digital learning. We collaborated to create beautiful symmetrical butterflies, each designing one side while our partner carefully reflected it to complete the other half. We also created colourful rangoli-style rotational patterns and used iPads to design symmetrical pixel art in Freeform. During outdoor learning, we explored our school grounds to photograph examples of symmetry in nature.

In writing, we took part in a fun competition by creating a 100-word Silly Saga. Characters were chosen by randomly picking a verb and a noun, leading to some hilarious ideas like the Clumsy Viking and the Crazy Volcano.

In gymnastics we practised group balances, focusing on teamwork, strength and stability. For our Euro Quiz, groups created their own quiz questions to challenge the rest of the class. It was a busy and creative week of learning!
