It’s been another busy and exciting week in Primary 6!

In our World War II topic, we’ve been learning all about The Blitz. We explored what life was like during the bombings and wrote some very moving evacuee letters, imagining what it would feel like to leave home and family behind. To go alongside our writing, we created striking Blitz silhouette artwork using oil pastels, which we proudly shared with our parents during our class learning showcase.

In Maths, we’ve been comparing standard units of length and getting hands-on with measuring activities. We also had great fun making equivalent fraction pizzas to help us visualise fractions in a creative (and tasty!) way.

This week also saw the start of our Junior Leaders programme! Everyone has been learning how to plan, organise, and manage games for younger classes. It’s been fantastic to see teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills in action as we prepare to run our own playground activities.

Well done, Primary 6,  what a fantastic week of learning and leadership!
