This week in P6 has been full of learning, creativity, and teamwork!

In Maths, we have been exploring the value of money. We learned about the features of debit and credit cards, how to calculate discounts, and how to read and understand bills. The class practiced real-life scenarios, helping us understand how to manage money wisely.

In Topic/Science, we have been researching wind farms in Scotland. We looked at the advantages and disadvantages of using wind energy and discussed how it affects communities and the environment. Using our research, we got creative and held debates for and against wind farms, using persuasive techniques to support our arguments. It was fantastic to see everyone present with confidence and enthusiasm!

In English, we have been working on imaginative writing inspired by the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Pupils wrote their own stories, letting their imaginations run wild while practising descriptive language and story structure.

In PE, preparations for our netball tournament have been in full swing! We’ve been practising skills, team strategies, and working on our banners and chants to boost team spirit. The excitement is building as we look forward to next week’s matches.

It has been a busy week full of learning, teamwork, and creativity – well done P6! 🌈
