P6 Weekly Blog
This week has been another busy and exciting one in Primary 6!
In Social Studies, we continued learning about rationing during World War II. We explored what families were allowed to buy each week and even created our own wartime weekly meal plans for a family of three. We also had a go at making a genuine wartime recipe, carrot cookies! The class enjoyed discovering how people used creativity to stretch limited ingredients.
In Maths, we worked on adding fractions and changing improper fractions into mixed numbers. We also looked at measurement, learning how to record lengths using decimals and fractions, and understanding when each is most useful.
Our final rugby session of the year took place this week, and everyone had a fantastic time building their teamwork and ball-handling skills.
In Literacy, we wrote persuasive texts on two big questions: Should there be age limits for social media? and Is gaming educational? The pupils produced thoughtful arguments and strong reasoning to support their opinions.
A great week of learning and creativity. Well done, P6!
