Friday 19th June

We have enjoyed joining some virtual lessons this week. On Wednesday, we joined a rainforest live lesson, where we explored biodiversity in this habitat. On Thursday, we attended a Fife Summer Reading Challenge to learn how we can participate this summer. On Friday, we had an amazing virtual tour of Edinburgh Zoo and Highland Wildlife Park and we learned about the different living things that live there.

We have used our iPads well to make mind maps in our learning about how plants benefit society.

In PE, we have been developing our skills in team games and working well with others. This week in Health, we have been learning about how to keep safe and thinking about who our trusted individuals are that can help us if we have a worry or if we feel unsafe.

In our Maths work, we have been exploring properties of 2D and 3D shapes.

We have continued sharing individual presentations on our World Cup countries and we are enjoying tracking how they are doing. We wrote newspaper reports about Scotland’s win in Boston, thinking about our use of direct and reported speech.

We have continued learning more of British sign language, including colours and the alphabet.

In outdoor learning, we tended to our planters and made maps of our grounds. In loose parts, we enjoyed working with others to create hospitals for endangered animals.
