We have had a busy first week back to school!

We have been enjoying the lovely weather and taking our learning outdoors. We enjoyed athletics and field games in P.E. Today, we worked with P2 to identify minibeasts in our garden area. We also planned what we would like to do with the containers in our playground and have chosen wild flowers to help the bees we look after.

We have written informal letters about our time over the holidays and we are focusing on openers and rhetorical questions. We have also been working on our handwriting skills this week, with a a big focus on this during this term.

We have been working together to plan and develop ideas for a new healthy biscuit. We have then been creating packaging following a design brief.

In Science, we have been exploring dissolving and what affects dissolving rates.

In French, we have been developing our number skills and introducing others in our live lessons.

We are participating in the ‘Newport in Bloom’ art competition which is called ‘Bouquet of Garden Flowers’. We are enjoying being creative and choosing our medium for this task.

We have been working hard at our times tables in mental maths and developing our understanding of symmetry in maths.

We had a visit from the RNLI to help keep us safe when we are around the sea.
