Friday 16th January

This week, we have been developing our use of language in our writing, including the use of similes and metaphors in our stories and poems.  We each created a school based character and wrote detailed description about our character. We have been developing our comprehension, spelling and handwriting skills.

In Numeracy and Maths, we have been developing our skills in dividing and focusing on learning the 6 x table. We have been learning more about angles and directions.

We have been learning more about Queen Victoria and created timelines of key events. We also used observation skills to draw a portrait of her. We have been developing our character skills in drama from the Victorian era.

We have enjoyed a session of rugby again this week and also we have continued to learn more Scottish dances.

In Health, we have been exploring what to do with worries and who our back up team are.

We enjoyed participating in a live French lesson this week with other pupils from across Scotland.

We developed our skills in playing F and C chords in Ukulele.

In Science, we have been learning more about electricity and renewable energy. We took on the role of data analysts and discussed jobs for the future.

We enjoyed taking time to notice some of the birds in our playground as we get ready to participate in the RSPB Big Birdwatch.
