Thursday 13th November

Thank you to the families who were able to visit us in class today to join our art lesson on pointillism. We created beautiful images of poppies to fit in with our learning around remembrance. We also wrote information texts about Remembrance Day. We learned how to take notes from an unfamiliar text and how to then use those notes to create a report with headings.

In Numeracy, we have been learning about place value in decimal numbers to three decimal places.
We have also been exploring nets in cubes and learning how to draw 3D cubes.

In our Diversity topic, we have explored cultures from other countries to compare with our own. We are started to prepare for our class assembly all about Diversity.
As part of anti-bullying week, we explored the theme Power for Good. We worked together to create an information poster on what we can do to support and help those being bullied. We are enjoying our class novel, The Boy at the Back of the Class. We have had good discussions around bullying and inclusion in a school setting.

On Monday, we have Willie Rennie, MSP, coming to visit us to talk about what he does in his role and how this helps the local area.

We enjoyed working together in loose parts to create a large class den where everyone was under cover. We developed our team work and communication skills.

We continue to enjoy developing our drumming skills with Mr Foggo.
