It’s our first Festive Friday! We have been writing our jokes for Newport Primary School’s community bags. We had fun looking at lots of Christmas jokes and choosing one that we wanted to share. We hope to make someone smile at Christmas.

We have also started learning a French Christmas song about what Santa wears! We hope to share it with families at our Church Service.

In PE, we have started doing circuits to improve our fitness. We had 7 different stations that worked different muscles, developed different skills and made our heart rate and breathing faster.

In Numeracy, we have been learning column addition to help us add two 2-digit or two 3-digit numbers together.

In Health and Wellbeing, we researched a charity to find out what sort of things they do to help people or animals.

In Literacy, we started writing our individual presentations. We used the internet to research an animal of our choice and took notes about facts we wanted to share. We will be making a PowerPoint or KeyNote presentation to go with them.

In Science, we explored our senses and how it might feel if they were impaired. We went round lots of different stations and either played a game, discussed a question or investigated something all to do with our 5 senses. We learnt that our senses are very important to keep us safe and there are ways in which people who have lost a particular sense can be supported.
