This week we loved starting to learn the Gay Gordan’s for Scottish Country Dancing/ We had to count the beat, move to the beat and start to learn the steps. There was lots of skipping, clapping and dancing. We finished off learning about Capacity in maths. we used the sand and water to measure in Liters and in no-standard units. In Literacy we were continuing to learn about nouns. We were categorising them and hunting for them. Our student Teacher Miss Drummond shared all about here and we shared all our favourite things with here. We also designed a whole class feelings check in system as part of Health. Sometimes its easier to show how we are feeling, rather than say. We finished off our week with art where we created lovely hibernating hedgehogs. We used oil pastels, crayons and paint. They look amazing.

We have loved being back together this week and catching up with all our friends! We have also enjoyed skills academy, we had 4 to chose from. There was animation, printing, Lego and games. in Literacy we started talking about nouns. we went on a noun hunt and categorised nouns into people, places and things. in maths we have been continuing learning a lot capacity. some of us have been measuring in liters and some of us in non-standard units. For health, we have been discussing worries, what they feel like, where we feel them on our bodies and what to do with them. We know it is important to share our worries so they don’t snowball out of control.  We had a fun week back in PE, paying team games such as dodge ball and bench ball.

We used wax resist, paint and different materials to make 3D, steaming cups of hot chocolate. This week we have also had outdoor learning and committees, so don’t forget to ask me about them. Finally, in science, we started learning about energy and became energy detectives, spotting as many types of energy as we could.
