We have had a busy week learning lots of new things!
Health – We have been learning about the importance of being active. Everyone shared something they enjoy doing and an activity they would like to start. We also learned about the importance of giving yourself time to “recharge” by doing something you enjoy, eating well or having a rest.
Literacy – We have been learning to use commas as part of a list. We created our own ice-cream cones and pizzas and wrote about the toppings we would love. In Writing we have been learning how to write a letter.
Outdoor Learning – We have been learning about biodiversity. We are so lucky with our playground space. All children found a variety of living things to add to their A-Z list.
PE – We have been improving our athletic skills and learning new field games. Scatterball was very successful and great fun!
Science – We have been discussing the stages of the Water Cycle. We have become more familiar with the words ‘evaporation’, ‘condensation’ and ‘precipitation’.
In Numeracy we have been learning about number patterns and sequences within 100. This is helping us count in 2s, 5s and 10s. Some children are counting in 3s and 4s too.
