Newport Nursery wk 29.06.26.

Well the time has come to say goodbye to all our children moving on to Primary 1 and all the parents too… we are all going to miss you so much.

But before we go here is a quick look at what has been going on in Nursery.

This week learning is… creativity, motor skills, team work, communication, balancing skills, hand/eye coordination, numeracy, literacy, self confidence, exploring, predicting, being curious, sharing, self-esteem, technology, outdoor learning and problem solving.

A group of children continued their interest in bugs after finding a woodlouse in some water, in which they quickly rescued the creature and placed him into the bug hotel area to dry out. They did raise a question and will be doing some research to see if they can survive under water.

A child explored the pipe cleaners and loose part to create a colourful pattern threading the colours through the holes. She created rainbow stripes using all the holes in that part .

Outside some children enjoyed peeking at each other through the musical instrument stand discussing forces. “If you push this it will move.”

Outside a group of children worked together trying to catch the balloon in between the gust of wind having lots of fun too .

Today outside one child had great fun playing with the hose as he discovered adding more force in pushing the button down to try and wet his peers which all the children have enjoyed over the past few weeks.

We enjoyed a Teddy bear picnic game with the children’s buddies. We had our Graduation Day on the  Wednesday. The children watched the Summer service on Thursday.

Thank you so much for being such a great nursery class this year. We will all miss you so much! Thank you all for all your support and good times throughout the year and we look forward to seeing you all going in Primary 1 . But also, we will look forward to seeing once again, all our returners and their families too.

If anyone has any lovely photos with the ladies please add these to seesaw we would love to see them 🥰 Thank you so much for your wonderful gifts they are very much appreciated you have been so generous.
