At Lumphinnans Primary, we consider effective school improvement planning to be a continuous process of considering what is working well and what needs to improve.
This year we have three key priorities learning at Lumphinnans, improving writing and learning through play.
When planning for improvement, we are guided by the following principles:
- focus on a small number of well considered priorities
- consider both our local context and the National Improvement Framework (NIF) when developing a plan that works for our children and families
- take an evidence-based approach, including careful analysis of data of children’s progress to plan targeted interventions
- ensure we collaborate with the whole school community to develop and evaluate plans
