Hello and Welcome to Lochgelly South Primary School and Nursery’s Glow Website.

Academic Year 2024-25

Lochgelly South Primary School opened in 1911 and is proud to have served the south of Lochgelly for over 100 years.

August 2024 saw the completion of extensive ground remediation works, refurbishment of the school building and installation of new nursery accommodation.  Children, parents/carers and staff are extremely pleased with the newly refurbished building and playground facilities.

We have a very positive ethos providing a relevant, differentiated and challenging curriculum where achievement is as important as attainment. We clearly value true partnership between staff, pupils, parents and the local community and enjoy very positive support from parents with high attendance noted at all school events.

Operating an ‘open door’ policy, we are always pleased to meet with our parents to discuss any aspects of our school. We do prefer you make an appointment so we can ensure someone is available to speak with you, although we do understand this isn’t always possible.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns or suggestions.
