Welcome to the Primary 1/2 class page. Our teacher is Mrs McQuillan.
Term 1 and 2
This term we are helping the Primary 1children in the class to follow our everyday routines so that they feel safe and happy. We have been creating a class charter using the book “Our Class is a Family” and we have been busy learning about our emotions using “The Colour Monster” as a stimulus. We can now put our name in one of the emotion jars as a self-register in the morning.
Our favourite part of P1/2 is the variety of play opportunities such as Arts and Crafts, exploring in the water or taking on a role in the Home Corner.
We have already visited the school library upstairs so that we have some choice in which books we read in class. There is also a voting system to choose our favourite book to be read at snack time.
This term we will be learning all about Animals so we may create a Vets or Wildlife Centre in our Role Play Area.
We look forward to lots of great learning this year!
