Skills Development Scotland

Our role in school is to work with pupils and support them with information, advice and guidance to help them make the right choices for their future.

In S1-S3 we deliver group sessions which cover career options, skills and strengths and subject choices.

In S4-S6 group work is also delivered along with one to one appointments to support senior pupils if they need help coming up with a career plan, face barriers in getting to where they want to be or are simply struggling to make a decision. We can also help with applications and CVs.

We also attend Parents Evenings, Employability Fairs and Learning Fairs and can meet with parents/carers too if you would like some advice.

That support doesn’t end with school – our Careers Centre on Whytescauseway continues to help after you have left school and beyond. Check out the My Word of Work Website!
