Good morning everyone. The 3rd Kirkcaldy PALS Battalion have left Kirkcaldy High School to catch the ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam. The PALS and their officers are in good spirits as we embark on our journey to the western front. Keep checking back as we update you on our progress through the battlefields of WW1.

We are now well on our way on the ferry. We have all been fed and watered and now have some free time to relax. Our next update will be on upon our arrival in Amsterdam.

That’s us arrived safe and sound in Amsterdam. We are now making the journey to our accommodation in Belgium with some stops along the way. Our young people are sleepy but looking forward to officially beginning their WW1 Battlefields experience! After a few hours sleep on route of course…

We have arrived at our accommodation. Our young people have their own self contained apartment with an upstairs! Safe to say they have got their second wind… We are heading for dinner and an early night so we all feel rested for a jam packed day tomorrow exploring the WW1 Battlefields! 🌹
