Emergency First Aid at Work course (Mrs Hume)
Any S6 pupil who wants to complete the Emergency First Aid at Work course on 22 September should complete the form on their Team asap or see Mrs Hume.

S1 Girls’ Football Team/Adam Smith Cup (Mr Greenhorn)
Can the 12 girls involved in the Adam Smith Cup, please meet me at the War Memorial Park immediately after registering in tutor. The team are going to meet with Mrs Gibb to share their success from yesterdays competition.

S5/6 Digital Leaders (Miss Samfat)
There is a meeting of the Digital Leaders today (Thursday) at lunchtime. Can all S5/6 that signed up to be Digital Leaders before the holidays please come to D5 for a 1:20pm start. Please come to see me earlier in the day for a pass to come up during lunchtime. See you there.

Shakespeare School Festival (Ms Bruce)
Just a reminder that rehearsals are on today (Thursday) after school 3:15pm until 4:15pm. It’s not too late to get involved and it’s open to all from S1-S6, just come along to Studio 4. Audition information will also be shared. See you then.

Have Lunch with A Hero! (Mrs Brown)
NEW FILM! We’re branching out into ancient Egyptian mythology with this action packed tale of good versus evil. All are welcome to come along to C11 with their lunch to see this movie on Friday, at lunch. Please see me for a pass in advance.

Biology Study Support (Ms Geddes)
Biology study support will be moved to Monday 18th next week only. After that it will be back to a Tuesday.

KHS needs a rock band to compete in FIFE BATTLE OF THE BANDS! (Mrs Duckett)
This event last happened in 2019, so we are so excited it’s up and running again! There is a shield for the winning school and a recording session at Fife College. If you are in a band with other school members, or want to form a band especially for the occasion, please see Mrs Duckett as soon as possible. Rock on!

S5/S6 EMA (Mrs Cook)
If you have applied and been approved for EMA, please bring your completed Learning Agreement form to the school office. We cannot proceed with any payments until this has been done. If you have still to apply, please do this as soon as you can. Any applications received by Fife Council after 30 September 2023 cannot be backdated and you will only be paid from the date the application is received. Please remember you also need to make a new application each academic year.

S6 Hoodies (Miss Lipton)
Can all S6 Leavers please ensure they’ve ordered & paid for their Hoodies by Friday 29 September. The cost is £20 – please remember to fill in the form with your choices.

Calm Colouring Club (Ms Geddes & Miss Millar)
Colouring has been shown to have multiple positive effects on your mental health, including reducing anxiety and helping your brain and body to relax. If you are looking for a quiet space to enjoy your lunch and do a bit of colouring, then head along to A3 from 1:10pm every Thursday lunchtime. Ms Geddes, Miss Millar and the Mental Health Ambassadors will be there to welcome you.

Upper Strings Ensemble (Mrs Ranieri)

KHS Radio Show on K107FM (Dr Murray)
We present a weekly show on Kirkcaldy’s radio station, K107FM every Saturday morning. You could be involved, even if you’re never available on a Saturday! We meet every Friday in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) to plan the show. Come along and bring your lunch! See Dr M for a lunch/building pass.

KHS D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) Group (Dr Murray/Miss Collins)
The KHS D&D Group meets in D2 (Home Ec) every Friday after school. Take part in exciting adventures and storytelling. It’s all up to the fate of the dice!
