Battlefields Trip 2024 (Mr Harrower)
A reminder that there is a parents/carers information evening tonight at 6pm in the Assembly Hall for all S3 pupils going on the Battlefields Trip next year. Attendance is essential.

Astro (Mr Farquharson)
The Astro is now closed to all pupils at social times. There will be prefects and staff stopping you get into the astro through the hole in the fence. Anyone wishing to play football can do so on the grass.

S6 UCAS – Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Dentistry Applicants (Mr Sanderson)
All S6 pupils who are interested in applying for medicine, veterinary medicine and dentistry, please attend a meeting at lunchtime on Thursday 31 August at 1:15pm in B15. Any issues/ questions then please see Mr Sanderson.

Paris Trip Fundraising (Miss Coggill)
There will be pupils visiting classes Thursday period 3 this week raising money for our upcoming Paris 2024 trip. We have a Disney teddy up for grabs and the person who manages to guess it’s birthday correctly will be the winner. If anyone is interested in taking part, please try and bring change this week. It is £1 per guess. Bonne chance !

History Krakow Trip June 2024 (Miss Dalziel & Mrs Harrower)
Any pupils in S4 and S5 who are interested in coming on the trip next June but missed the meeting on Friday, should come and collect an information letter at the start of this week from myself or Mrs Harrower.

S6 House Captain Photos (Miss Lipton)
Reminder that House Captain photos are being taken P1 this morning, please come to D9 ASAP. Photo’s shouldn’t take too long.

S1&2 Learn to Play Flute (Ms Clark)
Any pupils who would like to learn to play the flute, please come and see Ms Clark in E12 today at breaktime for more information. See you there!

S5/S6 EMA (Mrs Cook)
If you have applied and been approved for EMA, please bring your completed Learning Agreement form to the school office. We cannot proceed with any payments until this has been done. If you have still to apply, please do this as soon as you can. Any applications received by Fife Council after 30 September 2023 cannot be backdated and you will only be paid from the date the application is received. Please remember you also need to make a new application each academic year.

National 5 Maths/Apps Study Support (Mr Jones)
Pop along to ask questions, get help with homework or just have a quiet space to study. Every Wednesday lunchtime in C3.

Rights Respecting Schools Group & Ambassadors (Ms Young)
Wednesday in B14 at 1:15pm. It’s a really enthusiastic group who fight for and promote the rights of others, both across the school and in the wider world and community. Can all members attend as well as all pupils who put down their names to become Rights Ambassadors. You can collect a lunch pass from me any time before next Wednesday to give you permission to be in school during lunch.

Equality Group (Dr Murray)
The KHS Equality Group meets every Wednesday lunchtime in A4. Anyone who is interested in any aspect of equality is welcome whether it be age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation. See Dr Murray for a pass. Bring you lunch!

Gardening Club (Mrs Brown)
Gardening club is back on at the Serenity Garden 🪴. New members welcome. Meet at the amphitheatre just after 1pm.

Calm Colouring Club (Ms Geddes & Miss Millar)
Colouring has been shown to have multiple positive effects on your mental health, including reducing anxiety and helping your brain and body to relax. If you are looking for a quiet space to enjoy your lunch and do a bit of colouring, then head along to A3 from 1:10pm every Thursday lunchtime. Ms Geddes, Miss Millar and the Mental Health Ambassadors will be there to welcome you.
