Sports Day – 26 May P6 & P7 (S3) (Miss Kirkwood)
If there are any S3s interested in taking part in this year’s Sports Day, please let a member of the PE department know ASAP. The events you can enter are: 60m, 200m, 800m, shot putt, javelin and long jump. You are welcome to enter as many events as you want. This is a great opportunity to set S3 school records, win house points and become the overall S3 athletics champion.
Sports Day – 26 May P6 & P7 (S1 & S2) (Miss Kirkwood)
On Tuesday there will be lists of pupils who have qualified for this year’s Sports Day. This will be displayed on the S4 core board in the PE Department, please make sure you check it. This is a great opportunity to show off your talent, set school records and win house points.
Design a Lorry Competition (Miss McMahon)
Can you design a lorry to inspire people to enjoy healthy, sustainable food? Your design could cover an Aldi lorry and win your school £1,000! See Miss McMahon in Home Economics for more details.
S3 SE (Mrs Dempsey)
The police/youth justice are coming in to deliver a lesson on Monday 22 May (periods 1-5) and Tuesday 23 May (periods 3-7) in the IT Suite. The following S3 SE classes (Class/Guidance Teacher) will be expected to go to the IT Suite at the following times.

Period 2 – 3OZ – AF
Period 3 – 3AZ – JK
Period 4 – 3AY – GS
Period 5 – 3CZ – ES
Tuesday 23 May:
Period 3 – 3AX – JK

This will mean possibly coming out of your current class but teachers have been made aware. You can see a copy of the lists of pupils outside the Guidance base on the glass doors/cabinets. Make sure you check this week.
DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
A lot of pupils will be looking to gain some work experience, this is a great opportunity to give you a flavour of the world of work and ‘try out’ a profession. If this is something, you are interested in there is a form to complete on the Padlet. There is also a great opportunity for any S5 pupils who are looking to study medicine. For anyone looking to leave school there are a number of vacancies including – apprenticeships in Admin, at Scotrail, Exxon, Babcock and Sky Television advertised. As well as a range of part and full time jobs.

Card Club (Mrs Rae)
Come along to the PSO base at lunchtime to play various card games and make new friends. Maybe your friends are off, and you have nowhere to go or you see yourself as a real “card shark” all are very welcome!
Wind Band (Mrs Simpson)
The Wind Band will take place on Friday lunchtime in E13/Dance Studio.
Health Zone Drop In (Mrs Davidson)
Every Friday lunchtime, the school nurse team run a confidential drop in session. They are situated behind the careers room opposite the main office.
S1 Reading Group (Miss Britton)
S1 Reading Group during Friday lunchtimes in room B23. It’s a chance to practice reading out loud.
Have Lunch with A Hero! (Mrs Brown)
Some people have NEVER seen this, so we’re enjoying watching it again! See Mrs Brown for a note and bring your lunch to C11 if you’d like to watch this Disney classic at lunch on Friday
