Course choice for pupils in S5 going into S6 (S Hamilton)
The deadline for completing your final course choice for next session is today (3 March). Information has been emailed and sent to parents/carers. Here is a copy of the QR code, which you should use to enter your choices.

S3 First Chances (Mr Dick)
Can all S3 First Chances pupils please come to a short meeting in A5 at morning interval today. Attendance is essential as there is important information about the Power point presentations.

S3-S5 Iceland February 2024 Trip, Geography (Miss Wallace)
We have arranged a school trip for current S3-S5 learners to visit the land of fire & ice in 2024, where you will be able to explore what Iceland has to offer; from geysers and natural hot springs to walking across a glacier. If interested, please attend a brief meeting today at break in B10 to find out more and express interest. Any questions or problems please speak to Miss Wallace.

MVP Mentors (Mrs Dempsey)
All MVP mentors meet in B19 on today at lunchtime at 1:15pm.

Can all S4/5/6 ensure your Saltire Hours are up to date and submitted on the team please.

S2-S6 Animal Care Workshop (Mrs Whyte)
Elmwood College will be coming into school on 15 March to run some workshops about Routes into Animal Care. This is an opportunity for anyone who is interested in working with animals to hear from those at the college about the different entry requirements. They may even bring along some animals to show! Army Workshop – Calling all S2-S6 pupils! (Mrs Whyte)
An opportunity has arisen for some pupils to join a workshop run by the British Army. This workshop will take place on 17 March and give you the opportunity to work in teams to complete a series of challenges and tasks. If you would be interested in this opportunity please apply using this link or scan the QR Code.

S6 Hoodies (Mrs Rae)
Here is the QR code to select your size and colour for your leavers’ hoodies. Let me know if you are having any issues. Please come and check your name on the list at the PSO base also as it will be what appears in the #23 on the back. I will be sending the order on the 10 March so please ensure all forms and payments are completed by then.

DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
The Padlet has been updated with new opportunities, highlights include –

The opportunity for any interested S2-6 to join a skills workshop run by the British Army.
Apprenticeships – In Engineering, Gardening, Accountancy etc.
Summer School for S5 – Opportunity to attend a residential at some of the UK’s top Universities through Sutton Trust in a range of activities.

Speak to Mrs Whyte if you require any help with applications, finding jobs or want some work experience.

Lessons are on today in the Music department. You can find your time on Teams or on the department timetable board.

S2-S4 Music Lunch Club (Mrs Duckett)
This now takes place in E10 every day of the week, except Wednesdays.

Card Club (Mrs Rae)
Come along to the PSO base at lunchtime to play various card games and make new friends. Maybe your friends are off, and you have nowhere to go or you see yourself as a real “card shark” all are very welcome!

Wind Band (Mrs Simpson)
The Wind Band will take place on Friday lunchtime in E13/Dance Studio.

Health Zone Drop In (Mrs Davidson)
Every Friday lunchtime, the school nurse team run a confidential drop in session. They are situated behind the careers room opposite the main office.

S1 Reading Group (Miss Britton)
S1 Reading Group during Friday lunchtimes in room B23. It’s a chance to practice reading out loud.

Have Lunch with A Hero! (Mrs Brown)
“Release the KRAKEN!!” All are welcome to come and see the remake of the Clash of the Titans at Classics Film club, in C11. Bring your lunch and see the hero Perseus battle against Medusa and the Kraken!

Percussion Ensemble (Mrs Simpson)
The Percussion Ensemble will take place on Monday lunchtime in E11.

Chess Club (Dr Black)
Chess club will be running on Monday lunchtimes in A6, 1:10-1:40pm.  Grand masters in the making, you can learn how to play if you have not played before.

Biology Numeracy Study Support (Mrs Gannon)
Get support with Biology numeracy and problem solving. Monday 3:15-4:15pm in A1/A2.
