PE Classes (Mr Stewart)
If your PE teacher is either Mr Stewart, Mrs Little or Miss Kirkwood, please check the noticeboard at the bottom of the PE steps to check arrangements for your class. Please still bring your PE kit, as the class may be covered by another teacher.

Woodwind Lessons (Mrs Simpson)
Ms Kelso, the woodwind teacher, will not be in school today. Please stay in class. Do come over to the Music Department to collect your very well deserved Fife Festival of Music certificate at break or lunch.

S5 Lift Off (Miss Nessel)
Pupils have a one to one appointment on Monday 13 February with the Lift Off Team. Slips will be in the tutor folders from today. These will be held in the IT Suite.

House Captains (Mrs Steedman)
Can all house captains please meet in Miss Lipton’s room on Monday (13 Feb) at 1:15pm. Attendance is essential for everyone.

MVP Mentors (Mrs Dempsey)
All MVP mentors have to meet in the IT suite on Monday afternoon period 6 and 7.

S3 Duke of Edinburgh (Miss Wallace)
Reminder application forms to take part in Bronze DofE, from the S3 assembly, need to be handed to Miss Wallace before Tuesday 14 February if you want to be considered. If you require a new form, missed the chance or have any questions please see Miss Wallace in B10.

BBC Young Reporter Competition (Mrs Whyte)
Are you interested in journalism, storytelling, the media? Do you have a really good personal story to tell? The BBC are looking for stories to share on their website, news, tv, radio and podcasts. If you are interested in sharing your story – Mrs Whyte will be helping pupils with the BBC Young Reporter competition. This meeting will be now held on Tuesday 14 February at 1:30pm.

S6 Yearbook – Urgency (Miss Lipton)
Last call for all Yearbook submissions.. statements, photos & signatures need to be submitted before 10 February. Last date for cash payments is Tuesday 14 February & iPayimpact payments Friday 17 February. See Miss Lipton ASAP if there are any issues.

Apprenticeship Roles at Lloyds Banking Group (Mrs Davidson)
Going into National Apprenticeship week 2023, we are delighted to share that we are offering Finance Apprenticeships within LBG at our offices in Central Edinburgh. We are looking enthusiastic individuals (6th year onwards) who have an interest in a career in Accountancy & Finance. They would join us & work towards a professional accountancy qualification whilst doing a Level 4 Apprenticeship – more details within the job ad.

S6 Leaver Hoodies (Mrs Rae)
S6 Leaver Hoodies can now be paid for on iPayimpact. They are priced at £22 and this includes nickname and a huge choice of colours. All payments to be in by 16 February. Please come and talk to Mrs Rae if you have any questions or there are any barriers to you being able to pay for a hoodie.

DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
Lots of new things on the Padlet including:

  • Apprenticeships – Fife Council Trades, Diageo, Babcock, University of St Andrews
  • Volunteering Opportunities – including opportunities for those aged 13+ who want to start their careers early.
  • Job Fairs and Events – Including Edinburgh Airport, Jobs in Fife, Retail, Accountancy

Speak to Mrs Whyte if you require any help with applications, finding jobs or want some work experience.

Lessons are on today in the Music department. You can find your time on Teams or on the department timetable board.

S2-S4 Music Lunch Club (Mrs Duckett)
This now takes place in E10 every day of the week, except Wednesdays.

Card Club (Mrs Rae)
Come along to the PSO base at lunchtime to play various card games and make new friends. Maybe your friends are off, and you have nowhere to go or you see yourself as a real “card shark” all are very welcome!

Wind Band (Mrs Simpson)
The Wind Band will take place on Friday lunchtime in E13/Dance Studio.

Health Zone Drop In (Mrs Davidson)
Every Friday lunchtime, the school nurse team run a confidential drop in session. They are situated behind the careers room opposite the main office.

S1 Reading Group (Miss Britton)
S1 Reading Group during Friday lunchtimes in room B23. It’s a chance to practice reading out loud.

Have Lunch with A Hero! (Mrs Brown)
The Rock stars as Hercules in this tale of good vs evil – but it’s not always easy to tell who to trust! All are welcome to come along to C11 with their lunch to see this movie.

Chess Club (Dr Black)
Chess club will be running on Monday lunchtimes in A6, 1:10-1:40pm. Grand masters in the making, you can learn how to play if you have not played before.

Biology Numeracy Study Support (Mrs Gannon)
Get support with Biology numeracy and problem solving. Monday 3:15-4:15pm in A1/A2.
