Washington Trip Meeting (Miss Young)
Everyone going on the Washington Trip must attend a meeting in B14 today. You need to come with a plan of how you are fundraising so we can make a note of who is doing what and help others pick activities. If you can’t make the meeting then you need to see Miss Young, Mr Sanderson or Miss Steedman asap.

Washington Trip (Miss Young & Mr Sanderson)
Extra Washington Space: One space for the Washington Trip September 2023 has opened up – the trip is for current S4 and S5 pupils and include a trip to the White House, Martin Luther King Memorial, A sports event and much more. Please see Miss Young or Mr Sanderson this week if you are interested.
Remembrance Day Poppies (Dr Murray)
Every year in the days leading up to Remembrance Day on the 11 November, many people choose to wear poppies as a symbol to remember those who have lost their lives in conflicts around the world and those who have been killed as a result of terrorism. Remembrance Day marks the day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918. The reason poppies are used to remember those who have given their lives in battle is because they are the flowers which grew on the battlefields after World War One ended. If you would like to wear a poppy, they are available from the Prefect Base at reception for free or a small donation if you are able.
