Spanish Trip to Madrid 2025 (Mr Spink)
Could any pupils, currently in S1/2, who would be interested in going to Madrid, in June 2025, please attend a meeting at the start of break today in Mr Spink’s room (C14). Mr Spink will be providing very important information so make sure to get there as early as possible.
Senior Netball (Miss Kirkwood)
Can all senior netball players make sure they come to training after school on Wednesday for the upcoming matches and tournament. If you are unable to attend, please let Miss Kirkwood know ASAP.

Washington Trip (Miss Young & Mr Sanderson)
Extra Washington Space: One space for the Washington Trip September 2023 has opened up – the trip is for current S4 and S5 pupils and include a trip to the White House, Martin Luther King Memorial, A sports event and much more. Please see Miss Young or Mr Sanderson this week if you are interested.
Washington Trip Meeting (Miss Young)
Everyone going on the Washington Trip must attend a meeting in B14 on Friday. You need to come with a plan of how you are fundraising so we can make a note of who is doing what and help others pick activities. If you can’t make the meeting then you need to see Miss Young, Mr Sanderson or Miss Steedman asap.
Remembrance Day Poppies (Dr Murray)
Every year in the days leading up to Remembrance Day on the 11 November, many people choose to wear poppies as a symbol to remember those who have lost their lives in conflicts around the world and those who have been killed as a result of terrorism. Remembrance Day marks the day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918. The reason poppies are used to remember those who have given their lives in battle is because they are the flowers which grew on the battlefields after World War One ended. If you would like to wear a poppy, they are available from the Prefect Base at reception for free or a small donation if you are able.

The parent/carer on-line booking system is open. Booking closes at 11:55pm on Monday 7 November.
DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
Padlet has a few local jobs such as many seasonal workers at the Retail Park if you are looking for a part time job. S5 pupils are invited to apply for Career Ready – an opportunity to get career input and mentoring from a local business. This will lead to 4 weeks paid employment next summer and the chance to build upon your employability skills. If you are interested, please speak to Mrs Whyte in C13. More information on the padlet.

The legendary Kirkcaldy High LGBT+ Group meets at lunchtime TODAY! This group is for anyone of any identity including allies. Dr Murray’s classroom (A4) is the place to be and all are welcome.

This now takes place in E10 every day of the week, except Wednesdays.
S1-S6 Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)
Badminton Club will be on afterschool today in the Games Hall 3:30-4:15pm. All pupils are welcome.

The Yearbook committee will meet after school on Tuesdays in D9 from 3:15pm. Any S6 who have still to complete their assignments for the Yearbook can you try to get these done ASAP. If you need any support with these please feel free to come along to any of the meetings.

The Guitar Ensemble will take place on Wednesday lunchtime in E13.
S1-S2 BSL (British Sign Language) Club (Mrs Kerek)
Come along and learn basic level BSL to be able to communicate with people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Come and learn to sign in a friendly and informal setting in at 1:15-1:40pm in C8 every Wednesday – You are welcome to bring a cold lunch with you.
S3 & Senior Netball (Mrs Steedman)
All S3 pupils and Senior pupils (S4, S5 & S6) interested in playing netball this year, training will be afterschool every Wednesday from 3:30-4:15pm.
