S2 Parents’/Carers’ Evening – In School – Wednesday 9 November – PEBS (Mrs Noone)
Instructions will be emailed to Parents’/Carers’ today on how to access the on-line booking system which will go live tonight, Wednesday 26 October at 6:00pm. Booking closes at 11:55pm on Monday 7 November.

UCAS Applicants (Mrs Sim)
A reminder to those pupils doing a UCAS application this year that the first draft of personal statements is due to be handed in to guidance teachers by the end of the day THIS FRIDAY (28/10/22).

SHE Programme (Mrs Kerek)
Could all girls in S2 and S3 who are taking part in the SHE programme this term please note the following – S2 meet in the IT Suite Period 6 on Wednesdays and S3 meet in the IT Hub period 7 on Wednesdays for all of this term. Please return consent forms to Guidance as soon as possible if you have not already done so.

Active Girls’ Day Netball Event (Mr Greenhorn)
On Friday 28 October (3:15-4:45pm) KHS will be hosting a staff and pupil netball competition to celebrate Active Girls’ Day. We are looking for any interested pupils from S3-S6 to sign-up and take part in our special event. Active Girls Day Sign-up Link

S6 Prom (Miss Lipton)
Any S6 who have yet to pay their prom deposit can you please do so ASAP either via iPayimpact or cash at the office.

Biology Study Support (Miss Irvine)
Biology study support will take place today after school in A1 this week instead of Tuesday due to Parents’/Carers’ Evening.

U14 Football Training (Mr Geissler)
Boys U14 football training, today after school. Meeting in PE department for a 3:30pm start.

Senior Fashion & Textiles Study Support (Mrs Donaldson)
Every Wednesday, 3:15-4:30pm & any lunchtime in D15 by arrangement.

Art Club (Mrs Donaldson)
Come along to this first meeting to find out what Art Club is all about. The club will have different projects to take part in such as creating artwork for displays, competitions and seasonal activities. Bring your packed/cold lunch to D15, Art Department 1pm on Thursdays.

Fife Schools LGBT+ Hallowe’en Party (LGBT+ Group)
If you are joining us on Sunday, it’s 11.00am at the reception entrance. If your’re late, the door may be locked so come round the back to Home Ec and knock on a window! If you’re planning to come, make sure you have given your signed permission from to Dr. M!  🎃 🏳️‍⚧️ 🏳️‍🌈

DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
Padlet has a few local jobs such as many seasonal workers at the Retail Park if you are looking for a part time job. S5 pupils are invited to apply for Career Ready – an opportunity to get career input and mentoring from a local business. This will lead to 4 weeks paid employment next summer and the chance to build upon your employability skills. If you are interested, please speak to Mrs Whyte in C13. More information on the padlet.

Lessons are on today in the Music department. You can find your time on Teams or on the department timetable board.

S1-S3 Maths Support Group (Mr Jones)
Need help with maths homework? Stuck on something you’ve looked at in lessons? Come along to the S1-S3 maths support group, every Wednesday lunchtime (1:05-1:40pm). Bring your lunch, bring your questions.

Guitar Ensemble (Mrs Simpson)
The Guitar Ensemble will take place on Wednesday lunchtime in E13.

S1-S2 BSL (British Sign Language) Club (Mrs Kerek)
Come along and learn basic level BSL to be able to communicate with people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Come and learn to sign in a friendly and informal setting in at 1:15-1:40pm in C8 every Wednesday – You are welcome to bring a cold lunch with you.

S3 & Senior Netball (Mrs Steedman)
All S3 pupils and Senior pupils (S4, S5 & S6) interested in playing netball this year, training will be afterschool every Wednesday from 3:30-4:15pm.

THURSDAY 27 OCTOBER

Hot Meal: Soup of the day, Steak pie or Vegetable pie, potatoes and veg.

Piano and Upper Stings Lessons (Mrs Simpson)
Lessons are on today in the Music department. You can find your time on Teams or on the department timetable board.

S2-S4 Music Lunch Club (Mrs Duckett)
This now takes place in E10 every day of the week, except Wednesdays.

String Group (Mrs Simpson)
The String Group will take place on Thursday lunchtime in E13.

S1 & S2 Netball (Mrs Steedman)
Training will be afterschool every Thursday from 3:30-4:15pm.
