Access to DET/Music (Mrs Hamilton)
Pupils should not be accessing DET or Music via the Dining Hall or Assembly Hall. Pupils should enter via the door at the back of DET (near tennis courts). There is a one-way system in operation in the DET department. Pupils going to Music at lunch time will be allowed entry from the Dining Hall by showing their pass. Any learners arriving late to class can enter via Dining Hall.
Premier League Trip (Mr I’Anson)
Anyone interested in going to see the Manchester Derby on 2 October, please come to a meeting in E2 at break today. Get there sharp.
Biology Study Support (Miss Irvine)
Study support sessions will now take place after school on Tuesdays, starting today from 3:15-4:15pm in A1. All levels welcome.
Girls’ Football (Mrs Steedman)
Unfortunately, weather is not looking good for tonight therefore girls’ football training will not be on tonight and will start next week.
S3-S6 Netball (Miss Johnston)
S3 & Senior netball starts this Wednesday from 3:30-4:15pm in the Games Hall with Miss Johnston & Miss Kirkwood.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Ms Bruce)
Just a wee reminder that our first rehearsal/read-through will take place on Wednesday after school 3:15-4:30pm in Studio 4.
Accountancy (Mrs Whyte)
There is an exciting opportunity for any S4-6 pupils interested in accountancy when they leave school. A local accountant is looking to speak to pupils about routes into the role and hear about what life as an accountant is like. If you are interested can you please speak to Mrs Whyte in C13.
S1 & S2 Netball (Mrs Steedman)
All S1 and S2 girl’s interested in playing netball this year training will be afterschool every Thursday starting this week from 3:30-4:15pm.
UCAS Discovery Convention (Mrs Sim)
All S6 will be attending the UCAS discovery convention at the Rothes Halls in Glenrothes on Wednesday 7 September. Coaches will be leaving at 12:15pm from the bus lane and you will return to school before buses leave at the end of the day.
You must ensure you have registered for the event. Most will have done this on the S6 induction day. If you do not have a ticket in your emails, please see Mrs Sim.
If you are in S5 and are considering going to university next year, you may wish to attend this event. If this is the case for you, please see your guidance teacher.
If you require lunch from the dinner hall, please order this either during breakfast club or at interval in order to collect this before you leave. Free soup will also be available.
Consent forms are in your tutor folder. Please return this to Mrs Sim or Mrs Thompson by the end of the day on Friday 2 September.

S5-S6 EMA (Mrs Geddes)
If you have applied and been approved for EMA, please bring you completed Learning Agreement to the school office. We cannot proceed with any payments until this has been done. If you have still to apply, please do this as soon as you can. Any applications received by Fife Council after 30 September 2022 cannot be backdated and you will only be paid from the date the application is received. Please remember you also need to make a new application each academic year.

Street Theatre at Fife Pride, Saturday 17 September 2022 (Dr Murray)
Fife Pride are working with Surge Scotland to produce some street theatre performance for the Pride on the Saturday 17 September 2022. This is a really exciting opportunity for ANYONE who has an interest in drama and performance. There’s more info on the Fife Pride website. See Dr Murray if you’re interested!

LGBT+ Group (LGBT+ Committee)🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
The legendary Kirkcaldy High LGBT+ Group meets at lunchtime TODAY! This group is for anyone of any identity including allies. Dr Murray’s classroom (A4) is the place to be and all are welcome. You can make badges, play with “fidget toys” and chat about any topic with like-minded people.
We are running a competition to re-decorate our LGBT+ noticeboards. You could contribute a picture, a poem, a short story, a poster, or any other creative medium you fancy. You can do these at the LGBT+ Tuesday group meeting or in your own time. Hand your contributions to Dr Murray in A4 – prizes to be won!
