Prefect Meeting (Mrs Davidson)
There will be a Prefect meeting on today at tutor in the Dinnerhall. Please register at tutor then come straight to the Dinnerhall.

S6 London Trip 2023 (Mr Sanderson)
Mr Sanderson is organising a trip to London in February 2023 for S6 pupils only. The trip will include visits to parliament, famous attractions and a trip to the Harry Potter Studio tour. If you are interested then please attend a short meeting at break today in B9 to sign up and to get more information. If you have any questions, then please see Mr Sanderson.

House Captain Announcements (Miss Hay)
Thank you to all those who completed House Captain applications and took part in the interviews! We have been very impressed by your ambition, enthusiasm and ideas. We will announce the successful applicants today at 1:15pm in B6. If you were invited for an interview this week you must attend this meeting.

Outside Cafe Bar (Mrs Hardie)
The outside cafe bar will be closed next week.

Young STEM Leaders (S3-6) (Miss Tennant)
All current Young STEM Leaders and anyone who is interested in becoming a Young STEM Leader please attend a meeting in A7 at 1:30pm on Monday.

S3 Physics Workshop (Miss Tennant)
All S3 Physics classes will be taking part in the Energy Quest workshop on Tuesday 28 June. Please go to the LRC at the start of your session.

S5/6 Saltire Awards (Miss Lipton)
If you’re looking for opportunities to gain Saltire hours in school, please check the Volunteer Opportunities channel in the Team – there are always teachers, departments & school staff needing a hand! Remember to log your hours at the end of each week for each supervisor through the form on the Team & if you haven’t already signed up make sure you do this ASAP. See Miss Lipton in D9 if you have any questions or for the Teams code.

DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
This week’s Padlet has been updated. This week highlights include:

  • S4-6 – Raith Rovers are looking for coaches to help with summer camps, this may lead to paid employment and coaching qualifications. Speak to Mrs Whyte by end of Monday 27 June if interested.
  • Medicine Summer School – For New S6 pupils interested in medicine NHS fie are hosting a one-week work experience at the Victoria Hospital. See poster on Padlet for more details.
  • Fife Leisure Trust – are looking to train Swimming Teachers. More details on the Padlet.
  • New Apprenticeships in – Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Admin.
  • Job Opportunities include – Temporary work at the British Open, Warehouse Operative, Production Engineer, Local Supermarkets, restaurants, and a few summer roles.

Brass Lessons (Mrs Simpson)
Lessons are on today in the music department. You can find your time on Teams or on the department timetable board in E11.

Wind Band (Mrs Simpson)
Wind Band will run on Friday at lunchtime.

Health Zone (School Nurse)
You can access the confidential drop in service for any reason at all, including support with sexual health and contraception. The nurses also offer mental health support and will “signpost” to other services. This will run today at lunchtime behind Community Use.

Little Shop of Horrors (Ms McMahon)
Puppet making for the Little Shop of Horrors will run at lunchtime in B3.

Have Lunch with A Hero! (Mrs Brown)
All are welcome to come along to C11, with their lunch, to see Homer’s classic story about the hero Odysseus on his monster-filled journey back from the Trojan war!

Club Period (Mrs Rae)
Come to the PSO base either during lunch or after school to collect a bag of sanitary products to take home. At Kirkcaldy High we believe no person should have to pay for these products so save your money to treat yourself and come and get them for free at the PSO base, as well as a range of other hygiene products.
