Prizegiving 2022 (Mr Allan)
Many thanks to everyone (staff and pupils) who helped out at last night’s event. It was lovely evening and a fitting send off for the “Class of 2022”. Congratulations to all the prize winners. Special thanks to Mrs Davidson, who put all the arrangements in place to make sure things went smoothly.

Buddy Meeting (Mr Young)
There will be a buddy meeting today at break in the Assembly Hall.

U18/Senior Football (Mr Pennel)
All boys who would like to be considered for the Senior Football team next year should attend a meeting at break in the Boys’ Gym.

New S4 Pupils – Lift Off (Miss Nessel)
If you attended either/both of the Lift Off meetings with Abertay recently, you need to fill in an application form to take part this year. This has been emailed home to your parents/carers. However, if you haven’t filled this in yet, come to Miss Nessel’s room (D8) today at lunch time to complete this.

New S5: Washington Trip (Miss Young)
The Social Subjects Dept are running a trip to Washington in September 2023. This will be during the mid-term elections therefore a very exciting time to attend! Trips will include the White House, Capitol Building, MLK memorial and various museums. We will also attend a sporting event such as a baseball or basketball game. If you are interested please attend a meeting today at break in B14 for a permission slip and deposit info.

Duke of Edinburgh – S6 Bronze (Miss Wallace)
For those who have completed their permission slips for the upcoming expedition, there will be a training session to cover expectations for the trip on Wednesday 22 June at 3:20pm for approx. an hour in B10. Please let Miss Wallace know if unable to attend, as outdoor first aid basics and outdoor cooking will be a part of the training.

Stellar Quines Theatre Company (Miss Osborne)
Calling all women, trans and non binary new S2s! After working together a few weeks ago, Sam and Rachel from Stellar Quines Theatre Company are inviting you to come to a session on Wednesday 22 June at 1:45-3:15pm where we will explore further how you can share and use your voice, thoughts and ideas. Expect fun and snacks! To sign up please speak to a guidance teacher by the end of the week. Spaces are limited.

S1-S6 Leadership in Sport (Mr Greenhorn)

LGBT+ Festival Fortnight (Mr Greenhorn)
Active Schools working in partnership with LEAP Sports are delighted to invite any interested pupils to our Festival Fortnight event on Friday 17 June at the Michael Woods Leisure Centre, Glenrothes. Our event to increase the participation and visibility of LGBTIQ+ people in Scottish sport. Our event is open to everyone. If you’d like to get involved, please complete the Microsoft form.

CSI Event (Miss Irvine)
Can the Advanced Higher Chemistry and Biology pupils who are attending the CSI event at Fife College next Monday please ensure they have returned their completed permission slips to me in A1 by Thursday morning at the latest.

Little Shop of Horrors Show Tickets (Mr McPherson)
Tickets for the school show are now available on iPayimpact. Tickets can be purchased by logging into iPayimpact – go to ‘Accounts’ then ‘Shop’. You can then pick up tickets at the school reception. Tickets can also be purchased using cash at the school office in addition to the iPayimpact option. Alternatively you can pick up a ticket on the evening of the show subject to availability.

DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
This week on the Padlet there are Apprenticeships in NHS Fife as a Pharmacy Technicians. If you are thinking of a job in medicine there are also upcoming Medicine Open days at St Andrews and Aberdeen; we have school contacts for other experiences. Lots of local businesses are hiring including B & M, Young Spuds, Lidl and in Care roles. Mrs Whyte is happy to help with finding work placements or helping you look for a positive destination when you leave school. There is lots of help there if you are starting to think about what you want to do when you leave school.

S1-S3 Maths Homework Support (Mr Jones)
Maths homework club with Mr Jones will run weekly every Wednesday lunchtime (1:15-1:40pm) for pupils in S1 to S3. Grab your lunch first and come along to C3 for homework support.

Equalities Group (Ms Mahr)
Come along and meet the Equalities Group on Wednesday lunchtimes at 1pm (bring your lunch) in C12! Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you all!

Craft Club (Mrs Patton)
For the rest of the term, Craft Club will now be on a Wednesday after school in C6 from 3:20-4:20pm. All welcome.

Little Shop of Horrors (Mr McPherson)
Rehearsals are on after school tonight. All cast members check the schedule and attend the rehearsals you are called for.

KHS Radio Show on K107FM (Kirsty Brown, S6)
Are you interested in becoming a radio presenter and presenting on a local radio station? If this sounds like something you seem interested in, then head along to Dr Murray’s Room A4 in science on Thursday at lunch, to find out more information! This is open to all years, we hope to see some new faces!

Calm Colouring (Mrs Dempsey)
Every Thursday (at lunchtime) in A18. Bring your own mindful colouring books or borrow from my collection. Feel free to bring your lunch.

Rugby (Mr Greenhorn)
Thursday after school from 3:30-4:30pm on the school Astro pitch. This new club is open to all year groups and is being run in partnership with Kirkcaldy Rugby Club. Please bring warm gear and report to the PE dept.

Homework club is on after school on Thursday in C6, 3:20-4:15pm.
