Prefect Meeting (Mrs Davidson)
There will be a Prefect meeting today at tutor in the Dinnerhall. Please register at tutor then come straight to the Dinnerhall.

Congratulations! (Miss Steedman)
Well done to our S1 & S2 girls’ football team who won the Scottish Schools Sevens Competition yesterday, only conceding one goal in the whole tournament! Great football played and they did KHS very proud!

S6 House Captains (Miss Hay)
If you have expressed interest in being a House Captain or would like to express interest, please attend a meeting in B6 at break today. We will be sharing information about the application process so please arrive promptly.

S3-6 Leadership/Volunteering Opportunities (Miss Hay)
During Tutor today, your teacher will share a list of leadership/volunteering options available to you this year and why it is good to sign up. You can express interest for the different roles by scanning the following QR code. Deadline for completing the form is Monday 13 June to allow for application processes to take place in June. After this deadline the staff links for each role will speak to you about the next steps.

Supported Learning Netbooks (Mrs Lindsay)
Do you use a Netbook from Supported Learning? Do you wish to continue to use a device next year? If so you must see Mrs Lindsay or any member of staff in Supported Learning by Friday 10 June at the latest. If you do not contact Supported Learning by this date then a device will not be ready for you for the return to school in August.

#KitForAll collection (Mr Greenhorn)
Today and Monday we are accepting donations from pupils, staff, and families of sports clothing, footwear, and equipment. The Active Schools base will be our drop off point for your donation(s). We encourage drop-offs i) during tutor, ii) interval, iii) lunch or iv) after-school. Young Ambassadors will be available to collect your donations.

S1-S6 Young Leadership in Sport (Mr Greenhorn)
Applications are now open for S1-S4 Young Leader & S5 Young Ambassador roles with Active Schools. There are limited spaces available for each programme, but I would encourage anyone interested in applying to please do so before the deadline (Friday 17 June). There will be interviews for each role with appointments being made near the end of the term. Apply here

LGBT+ Groups Disco – MEET ON TUESDAY(Dr Murray)
If you are coming to the LGBT+ Disco on Sunday the 19th June, you MUST come to the LGBT+ group meeting on Tuesday lunchtime.

Little Shop of Horrors Show Tickets (Mr McPherson)
Tickets for the school show are now available on iPayimpact. Tickets can be purchased by logging into iPayimpact – go to ‘Accounts’ then ‘Shop’. You can then pick up tickets at the school reception. Tickets can also be purchased using cash at the school office in addition to the iPayimpact option. Alternatively you can pick up a ticket on the evening of the show subject to availability.

Little Shop of Horrors Show – ALL TEAMS (Mr McPherson)
If you are wanting to be part of any team (including actors!) for “Little Shop of Horrors” then you MUST attend the rehearsal in the hall after school on Monday.

DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
This week on the Padlet there are Apprenticeships in NHS Fife as a Pharmacy Technicians. If you are thinking of a job in medicine there are also upcoming Medicine Open days at St Andrews and Aberdeen; we have school contacts for other experiences. Lots of local businesses are hiring including B & M, Young Spuds, Lidl and in Care roles. Mrs Whyte is happy to help with finding work placements or helping you look for a positive destination when you leave school. There is lots of help there if you are starting to think about what you want to do when you leave school.

Wind Band will run on Friday at lunchtime.

Health Zone (School Nurse)
You can access the confidential drop in service for any reason at all, including support with sexual health and contraception. The nurses also offer mental health support and will “signpost” to other services. This will run today at lunchtime behind Community Use.

Little Shop of Horrors (Ms McMahon)
Puppet making for the Little Shop of Horrors will run at lunchtime in B3.

Have Lunch with A Hero! (Mrs Brown)
All are welcome to come along to C11, with their lunch, to see Homer’s classic story about the hero Odysseus on his monster-filled journey back from the Trojan war!

Club Period (Mrs Rae)
Come to the PSO base either during lunch or after school to collect a bag of sanitary products to take home. At Kirkcaldy High we believe no person should have to pay for these products so save your money to treat yourself and come and get them for free at the PSO base, as well as a range of other hygiene products.

S2 Football will run on Monday afterschool (3:30-4:30pm). Training will be on the Astro so bring appropriate footwear if possible.
