THURSDAY 12 MAY

Hot Meal: Lentil soup, Pasta bolognaise, garlic bread and salad or Vegetable and cheese fajitas.

Music Department (Mrs Simpson)
All pupils going to and from music during the day today must try and be quiet as there is an exam in E10.

SHE Scotland (Mrs Kerek)
SHE Scotland sessions are back on for all girls involved from Thursday afternoon this week that is the 12 May. All S2 and S3 girls are to go to both sessions now period 6 and 7. Any queries, please see Mrs Kerek.

U15 Football (Mr English)
All boys should attend a training session after school tonight. Any boy who cannot attend MUST speak to Mr English or Mr I’Anson otherwise they may not be selected as part of the squad for the Fife Cup Final on Friday 20 May.

S1-S3 Netball (Miss Steedman)
Today will be the last netball session of the year so we will be holding a tournament with prizes. We would love to see as many of you there as possible who have attended netball over the whole year!

Rugby (Mr Greenhorn)
S1-S3 extra-curricular rugby will be restarting next Thursday, 3:30-4:30pm (19 May). Consent forms will be sent out to parents/carers this morning. If you have any questions regarding rugby, please come speak to Mr Greenhorn.

S1 VIDEO Parents’/Carers’ Evening – Tuesday 17 May – PEBS (Mrs Noone)
The parent/carer on-line booking system is now open. Booking closes at 11:55pm on Monday 16 May.

DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
There are a lot of apprenticeships on offer! Early Years Officer, Mechanic, Labourers and Engineering to name a few! A few pupils are starting to look at getting part time jobs. First step is to write a CV – there is advice on the Padlet for this. The Careers Advisors and Mrs Whyte are happy to help you with this!

String group is on today in E13. Please bring your lunch and be ready to play for 1:15pm.

Craft Club (Mrs Patton)
Craft Club will run on a Thursday lunchtime, 1:15-1:40pm in C6.

KHS Radio Show on K107FM (Kirsty Brown, S6)
Are you interested in becoming a radio presenter and presenting on a local radio station? If this sounds like something you seem interested in, then head along to Dr Murray’s Room A4 in science on Thursday at lunch, to find out more information! This is open to all years, we hope to see some new faces!

Calm Colouring (Mrs Dempsey)
Every Thursday (at lunchtime) in A18. Bring your own mindful colouring books or borrow from my collection. Feel free to bring your lunch.

Homework Club (Mrs Patton)
Homework club is on after school on Thursday in C6, 3:20-4:15pm.

FRIDAY 13 MAY

Woodwind Lessons (Mrs Simpson)

Wind Band (Mrs Simpson)
Wind Band will run on Friday at lunchtime.

Health Zone (School Nurse)
You can access the confidential drop in service for any reason at all, including support with sexual health and contraception. The nurses also offer mental health support and will “signpost” to other services. This will run today at lunchtime behind Community Use.

Little Shop of Horrors (Ms McMahon)
Puppet making for the Little Shop of Horrors will run at lunchtime in B3.

Have Lunch with A Hero! (Mrs Brown)
All are welcome to come along to C11, with their lunch, to see Homer’s classic story about the hero Odysseus on his monster-filled journey back from the Trojan war!

Club Period (Mrs Rae)
Come to the PSO base either during lunch or after school to collect a bag of sanitary products to take home. At Kirkcaldy High we believe no person should have to pay for these products so save your money to treat yourself and come and get them for free at the PSO base, as well as a range of other hygiene products.
