MONDAY 25 APRIL

Hot Meal: Broccoli soup, Italian meatballs with spaghetti, vegetables or Cheese panini and salad.

Reminders (Mr Allan)
All mobile phones must be switched off and out of sight during class time, including “tutor”. If not, they need to be placed in the class “phone box” until the end of the lesson. Also, mobile phones are not allowed in the corridors on health and safety grounds. No hoodies or outdoor gear allowed in class. Full uniform is expected and those not wearing a tie are sent to the end of the lunch queue. The building is “out of bounds” during breaks unless a teacher has made a special arrangement. Please be especially quiet near the Hall and when moving around the building during May, as the SQA exams take place. You will appreciate a bit of respect when it’s your turn. Have a good week ahead everyone.

S2 Football (Mr Pennel)
Training tonight is cancelled after school. It will resume next week.

Basketball Club (Mr Harrower)
Basketball Club is cancelled afterschool today and will resume next week.

S1-S2 Rwandan African Tea Tasting Session (Mrs McMahon)
On Friday 29 April, Period 2, a presentation from David Gasana (survivor of the Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda) along with a demonstration of how to make Rwandan African Tea. There are 12 spaces still available. Please see Mrs McMahon (room D2/4) to put your name down.

KHS Community Choir (Mrs Duckett)
The choir is cancelled tomorrow due to staff training.

DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
Check out the DYW Padlet for information on Part Time Jobs as well as opportunities for those wishing to leave school including apprenticeships and Full Time Roles! S2 Pupils – First Chances (Mrs Nessel)
If you would be interested in joining the First Chances programme with St Andrews University in S3, please fill in the form via QR code to apply. In the programme you get to take part in trips to University and College, including over night residential stays. They also support you with free tutoring and help with school work from S3-S6. You can also apply for special funding for University/college when you leave school if you are part of the programme. Apply before Wednesday 27 April.

Puppet making for the Little Shop of Horrors will run at lunchtime in B3.

LGBT+ Group (LGBT+ Committee)
The legendary and amazing LGBT+ Group meets every Tuesday lunchtime in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) for anyone who wants to have a nice place to sit and enjoy their lunch, get to know other people, make badges and make keyrings. EVERYONE and ANYONE is welcome, hope to see you there!

Mental Health Ambassadors (Miss Hay)
Please meet today in B6 at 1:10pm. Feel free to bring your lunch!

Craft Club (Mrs Patton)
Craft Club is on after school each Tuesday in C6 from 3:20pm–4:20pm, all are welcome.

Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)
Badminton club will be on afterschool on Tuesday in the Games Hall (3:15-4:15pm). All pupils from S1-S6 are welcome to attend.

S1 Football (Mr Pennel)
S1 football will run on Tuesday afterschool (3:30-4:30pm). Training will be on the Astro so bring appropriate footwear if possible.

Young STEM Leader (Miss Tennant)
Young STEM Leader sessions will take place every Tuesday from 3:15-4:15pm in A7.
