Urgent Ukraine Crisis Appeal: Rights Respecting Schools (Miss Young)
We have all been affected recently by the images being broadcast from Ukraine. The Rights Respecting School group are focused on ensuring all young people around the world have the best chance possible to have their rights met. This includes having the right to education and the right to safety and freedom from war. As such, we are keen to get involved in the UNICEF appeal to support young people in Ukraine. We are looking to raise as much money as possible, as quickly as possible. As such we are asking that you donate anything you can (every penny counts!). Can you pass donations to Miss Young or to your tutor teacher who will pass it to me. WE will also have representatives of the Rights Respecting Schools Group come round tutor classes. Spare change would be greatly appreciated, it all adds up. We will send this money directly to UNICEF – Every £4 raised could help pay for school supplies to help one child continue their education in an emergency, £80 helps 20 children, Every £32 we raise will pay for a large first aid kit for a health worker, every £46 could provide a family with an emergency water and hygiene kit.
