MONDAY 13 DECEMBER

Hot Meal: Carrot and lentil soup, Italian meatballs with spaghetti, vegetables or Chicken rollover/Hot dog and salad.

S1/S2 Pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk (Mrs Bruce)
It is with regret that the Byre Theatre has decided to cancel the performance of Jack and the Beanstalk due to the rise of the Omnicron variant of Covid-19. All pupils who have paid will receive a full refund via IPayimpact. You don’t need to contact the Office as they are aware of who has paid but please be aware that refunds may take a few weeks. You should attend classes as normal on Wednesday. Apologies folks!

Mrs Kendrick’s Replacement (J Davidson)
As you may know Mrs Kendrick will be going on maternity leave at Xmas. Following interviews, we are delighted to announce Ms Osborne will be her replacement. Mrs Kendrick is still working and available via email – just speak to Mrs Davidson or another guidance teacher if you have any queries. Ms Osborne will be starting to get involved directly with pupils soon where possible.

Christmas Memorial Baubles (Gillian Wood, PSO)
If you would like to have a personalised bauble in memory of a loved one you can purchase one for £1 at the PSO. You can hang it on the school’s memorial tree at reception before taking it home to hang on your own tree. Any baubles left on the tree will be hung each year. It is a great honour for me to arrange this, you can admire the baubles and tree at reception. Any money raised will be used in our memorial garden.

Astroturf (Mr English)
The pitch will be closed at break and lunch today due to the amount of litter in the last week. The Seniors have a game after school tonight and need the pitch free of litter.

Seniors Football (Mr English)
All boys listed for the friendly v Glenrothes HS on Monday, must bring dark coloured shorts and socks for the game.

S1 Football (Mr Pennel)
All boys who would like to be considered to play in a friendly against St Andrews High next Thursday should attend a meeting today at break in the boy’s gym.

S1-S4 Young Leader Interviews (Mr Greenhorn)
A reminder that Louisa M, Aaron P, Kelsey M, Ellie M & Armaan A all have their YL interview today in the Library at 3:15-4:15pm. The interview will be completed by Mr Greenhorn, Mrs Little & Rebecca S.

S1-S3 Table Tennis Competition (Mr Greenhorn)
The first play-off matches will take place today at lunchtime (EH vs. TD, KD vs. CC, AK vs. LM & DR vs. JM). Can all participating players please make sure they arrive at the TT suite promptly (1:15pm) to play their scheduled match. There will be no spectators for this event! Results will be posted on social media by the end of the school day.

S3 Personal Development Bake Sale (Mrs Patton)
The S3 Personal Development Group will be hosting a bake sale on Monday 13 December in C19 from period 1 until the end of break.  Items only 50p each

Science Research Placements (Dr Murray)
Dr Murray has an opportunity for folk in S5 to spend some time during the summer working in REAL science/engineering labs. This would obviously be a great opportunity for anyone looking to study Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths subjects beyond school. See Dr Murray if you’re interested! Craft Club (Mrs Patton)
Craft Club will run on a Monday lunchtime, 1:10-1:40pm in C19.

Basketball Club (Mr Harrower)
Basketball club will run on Monday afterschool (3:15-4:15pm) in the Games Hall.

S2 Football (Mr Pennel)
S2 Football will run on Monday afterschool (3:30-4:30pm). Training will be on the Astro so bring appropriate footwear if possible.

TUESDAY 14 DECEMBER

String Group (Mrs Simpson)
String group is on today in E13. Please bring your lunch and be ready to play for 1:15pm.

Raspberry Pi School (Mr Davidson Kelly)
Raspberry Pi School is open every Tuesday lunchtime, room D7.

LGBT+ Group (LGBT+ Committee)
The legendary and amazing LGBT+ Group meets every Tuesday lunchtime in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) for anyone who wants to have a nice place to sit and enjoy their lunch, get to know other people, make badges, and (new for 2021!) make keyrings. EVERYONE and ANYONE is welcome, hope to see you there!

KHS Community Choir (Mrs Duckett)
This will run on Tuesdays after school in the Assembly Hall, 3:15-4:15pm.

Homework Club (Mrs Patton)
Homework club will be running each Tuesday in C17 from 3:20-4:20pm for all year groups, all subjects.

Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)
Badminton club will be on afterschool on Tuesday in the Games Hall (3:15-4:15pm). All pupils from S1-S6 are welcome to attend.

Girls’ Football (Miss Steedman)
