WEDNESDAY 17 NOVEMBER

Hot Meal: Carrot and coriander soup, Roast chicken, potatoes and vegetables or Omelette and chips, peas or salad.

S4-S6 Computing Pupils (Miss Nessel)
The Computing Roadshow on Friday 19 November has been cancelled. Please attend class as normal.

Career Ready (Mrs Little)
Can all S5 pupils who are doing the Career Ready programme please come to a quick meeting at the start of break time today in the PE classroom.

S1 Netball (Mrs Little)
There will be no S1 netball on a Monday, this will now run on a Thursday after school with the S2 pupils.

Little Shop of Horrors (Mr McPherson)
All cast members should attend rehearsals in the hall after school today. For most of the cast the rehearsal will end at 4:00pm for Seymore, Audrey and Mushnik the rehearsal will run to 4:45pm. Attendance is essential!

For anyone who put their name down for any other production area, please look out for blue bulletin messages from your team leaders in the coming weeks.

Craft Club (Mrs Patton)
Craft club will now run on a Monday and Wednesday at lunchtime in C19.

Youth Action Group (Miss Young)
Our local youth workers Stephen and Brendan will be returning to school on Thursday lunchtimes in B14 from Thursday 25 November. Those who were in the group before will know how great the group was and all the good work that took place. For new members please come along if you are keen to get involved in helping your local community and having a say on what young people want in Kirkcaldy, as well as grabbing a free lunch!!

Suggestion Box (Head Boy)
There is now green box at the Prefect Base for any ideas and suggestions you may have to improve the school.

Pantomime Trip: Jack and the Beanstalk S1/S2 (Ms Bruce)
The pantomime trip is now full, and tickets have been allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Unfortunately, if you haven’t yet made the payment or made the payment too late, you may have missed out. A final pupil list of those going on the trip has been posted outside Studio 4. Please check if your name is there. If you know you have paid, but your name isn’t on the list, you will need to be refunded. Please see me if you have any questions.

Art Gallery (Mrs Donaldson)
Please pop by the Art corridor to see if your work has made it to our gallery! Or has your name made it to our “Awesome Artists” praise board. The gallery will change weekly! Our gallery is a small selection of the wonderful work happening here at KHS.

Dress Down Day (Travel & Tourism Class)
Hello everyone on Friday 19 November there is going to be a dress down day for Children in Need. The theme is all about being yourself. Everyone is equal in school and we should take a chance to celebrate that. There should be no football strips or inappropriate clothing worn on the dress down day. Please also bring a change of kit if you have PE. Pay a donation of £1 or what you can afford in tutor on the day.

Keyboard group is on today in E10 with Mr Duncan.

S1-S3 Maths Homework Support (Mr Jones)
Maths homework club with Mr Jones will run weekly every Wednesday lunchtime (1:15-1:40pm) for pupils in S1 to S3. Grab your lunch first and come along to C3 for homework support.

Craft Club (Mrs Patton)
Craft Club will run on a Wednesday lunchtime, 1:10-1:40pm in C19.

Equalities Group (Ms Mahr)
Are you interested in making the lives of others better? Can you help give a voice to certain issues? Do matters of race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability etc. interest you? If you are interested in tackling these issues, please come along and meet the Equalities Group on Wednesday lunchtimes at 1pm (bring your lunch) in C12! Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you all!

S4-S6 Senior Netball (Mrs Little)
Senior netball will run on Wednesday after school in the Games Hall from 3:15-4:30pm. All new and experienced players welcome.

Biology Study Support (Miss Irvine)
Biology study support will now be running every Wednesday after school from 3:30-4:30pm in A1. It is welcome to all S3-S6 Biology students. Hope to see some of you there!

N5 & Higher Fashion & Textiles Study Support (Mrs Donaldson)
This will run every Wednesday, 3:15-5pm in D15.

THURSDAY 18 NOVEMBER

KHS Radio Show on K107FM (Kirsty Brown, S6)
Are you interested in becoming a radio presenter and presenting on a local radio station? If this sounds like something you seem interested in, then head along to Dr Murray’s Room A4 in science on Thursday at lunch, to find out more information! This is open to all years, we hope to see some new faces!

S1-S2 Science Club (Hanna and Hassan, S5)
There is a Science Club for S1-S2 running every Thursday. Come along to do some cool science stuff that you might not usually do in class. We meet at 1:15pm in A5 (Mr Dick’s room).

Chemistry Study Support (Dr Black)
Chemistry Study Support is on 3:15-4:15pm in A6. All levels welcome – bring your problems and have them sorted!
