A HUGE well done to our regular litter pickers who have now earned their 25 Hour Saltire Award! 🎉 This nationally recognised volunteering award is a fantastic achievement and looks brilliant on CVs, College and University applications.
It’s never too late to start volunteering! 💚 If you’d like to get involved, you would be very welcome to join the Middleden Green Team at one of our future litter picks. 🌳🗑️

Sports Clubs (Active Schools, Kalia Dair)
Active Schools works with many different Sport Clubs in Kirkcaldy and the surrounding areas, who have opportunities for pupils to take part outside of school. Please see this term’s promotional Sway which shares details of where and when you could take part in sport! – Sports Club Link

Active Schools Meeting (Kalia Dair)
Can anyone who is part of the Active Schools Young Leadership Pathway (Young Leader or Ambassador) please attend a meeting on Wednesday 7th October at lunchtime, in the Active Schools Coordinator Office (across from IT suite). If anyone isn’t already involved, but would like to be, please feel free to attend and see if it’s something you would be interested in. Please get your lunch first then you can bring it up with you.

Stem opportunity: Young WEIR-WISE: Discovering Engineering with S2 Girls (Dr Black)

KHS prides itself on giving young people the right to have a say in what is going on in the school through forums, focus groups and various pupil led groups across the school. Did you know you can also have a say in Politics through your very own Scottish Youth Parliament representative Alisha Ahmad who is in S6. You can speak to Alisha at any time and contact her via Instagram as well

Thursday Murder Club (Mrs MacMorris)
Open to S4-6 in C14 on a Thursday after school. If you’re interested in true crime, solving mysteries and finding justice – this is the club for you!

Puzzles Club (Ms Tinney)
Do you enjoy solving puzzles, cracking codes, playing logic games, or taking on brain-teasing challenges? Come along to Puzzle Club in Room B2 with Ms Tinney at lunchtime! Open to all pupils, whether you’re a puzzle expert or just looking to try something new. Bring your curiosity and see if you can solve the challenge of the week!

Gardening Club (Thursday Lunchtimes) Ms Brown🍀
All pupils who would like to be involved with the school garden are welcome.

Meet at the Serenity garden on fair days; or C11, if it’s bad weather🍃 See me in advance for a pass.

Chemistry Study Support (Chemistry Teachers)
Are you baffled by bonding? Are you confused by calculations? Are you frantic about formulae? If the answer to these questions is even close to “yes”, then you should attend chemistry study support on Thursdays 3.30pm-4.30pm in either classrooms A4, A5, or A6. All are welcome!
