🌿 MIDDLEDEN COMMUNITY LITTER PICK – THIS SATURDAY, 10AM! 🌿 Organised by the brilliant Middleden Green Team — local volunteers, pupils and parents of KHS!

🗑️ Let’s make the Den beautiful again! You may have seen Fife Jammers highlight the shocking amount of litter in Middleden… so let’s show what our community can do and fix it together. Don’t let Fife Jammers shame the Den— let’s impress them instead!

📍 Where: Middleden

When: This Saturday, 10am

👥 Who: EVERYONE is welcome!

🧤 Equipment: Fife Council have kitted us out with the Rolls Royce of litter pickers, bin bags, stickers and more — so you’ll be fully equipped to make a difference.

🥐 FREE SAUSAGE ROLLS & CAKE! Thanks to the generosity of Stephen’s Bakery, every volunteer can enjoy a free sausage roll or cake. 👉 Simply collect a sticker from Mrs Duckett after you’ve filled a bag of rubbish, then take it along to Stephen’s on Hendry Road to claim your treat.

💚 Be proud of your community. Come along, get stuck in, and help restore the Den to the beautiful space it should be.

Culture Month (Mrs Gibb)
This month’s Country of the Month is… Japan!

When you see each other, rather than saying hello, let’s use the Japanese word for hello instead:
こんにちは
Kon’nichiwa

Google Translate

Did you know: Japanese people celebrate the start of Spring with a bean-throwing ritual. This is said to ward away evil spirits and welcome good fortune.

Word of the Week (Mrs MacKenzie)

Cavalier also describes attitudes, manners, etc., that show the same lack of concern.
