Hot Meal: Vegetable soup, Chicken korma and rice, naan bread and salad or Chicken rollover/Hot dog, beans and salad.

YPI Winners Announced (Ms Mahr)
Congratulations go to Ewan Simpson, Lewis Stokoe and Macauley Symon who won £3000 yesterday for their chosen charity, Maggie’s. They presented a stunning and personal presentation and we are all incredibly proud of you! Runners-up include Emma Matthew, Sophie Ballantyne, Emily Muir, Rhea Page and Lily Paterson. You all did amazing as well. Tomorrow’s dress down day fundraising will be split between the runners-up’s charities so well done to you all! Seriously proud YPI teachers (and many more) here!

Dress Down Thursday (D Allan)
We will end the session with a traditional dress down day (suggestion donation £1). All proceeds will be split between three of the following good causes; Maggie’s Centre, “Stop It Now”, Bliss and Abbeyfield Care Home. One of these local charities will actually be awarded £3000 at today’s Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) final. Best wishes to the teams of S3 and S4 taking part.

New S5/6 – EMA (Mrs Geddes)
The application process will be opening during the holidays. Keep a lookout for Fife Council social media campaign with instructions on how/when to apply. If you have been in receipt of EMA for 2020/21 you will still need to reapply for 21/22.

S1 Action Group (Mrs Duckett)
S1 Action Group will be meeting again today. Those involved must go to Mrs Duckett’s room, E12, period 4.

S3-S6 – Developing Interview & Application Skills (Mr Paterson)
One of KHS’s partners, the Bell Group, a large painting and decorating company, are holding an online employability skills session today, period 5, between 12:15-1:00pm. They will be giving advice about how to make a good first impression at interviews, how to write a CV, and how to improve your communication skills, so that when you come to apply, you get the job, college, or university place that you want! This session will be really useful for anyone in S3-S6 who is thinking about applying for a part-time job in the summer, or who is planning to apply for college/university or for jobs/apprenticeships in the future. The online session will be held in Mr Paterson’s classroom in B11. If you are interested in coming along and listening to the session on Wednesday, then please come and speak to Mr Paterson ASAP to book your place!

Mental Health Ambassadors Information Meeting (Miss Hay)
If you have received an invite to the mental health ambassadors information meeting today Period 7, please register with your normal teacher first then come to B6. We look forward to seeing you there!

TODAY’S STANDING NOTICES

Have Lunch with a Hero… (Mrs Brown)
There are zombie skeletons and monsters galore in this retro ‘Swords and Sandals’ classic! Feel free to being your lunch to C11 to watch the original – Jason and the Argonauts.

Italian Club (Mrs Morris)
Italian Club will run every Wednesday lunch time from 1:15-1:45pm in C9. Bring your lunch along with you and learn some new Italian words and phrases.

English Homework Club (Mrs Patton)
Mrs Patton will be running a homework club every Wednesday after school from 3:20pm – 4:20pm. This is open to all pupils, please come along to C6.

THURSDAY 24 JUNE

Hot Meal: Leek and potato soup, Steak Pie, potatoes and vegetables or Cheese and tomato pizza and salad.

Tree Craft (Mr Crawford)
Thursdays at 1:10pm. A short walk through local woodland, weather permitting, or related activities indoors otherwise. Come along and learn more about the trees around us, their practical uses past and present and some related craft skills. Suitable footwear recommended – could be muddy. Meet beside the old janitor’s house. Pupils and staff welcome.

KHS Radio Show (KHS Radio Team)
The KHS radio team present a live radio show every Saturday morning at 11:00am on K107FM. You can be involved either as a presenter or a pre-recorded content creator. All years welcome – we meet in A4 (Dr Murray’s room) at lunchtime on a Thursday.

Card Making Club (Mrs Patton & Mrs Imran)
Thursday lunchtime in C19 at 1:10pm. This is open to all year groups, beginner crafters and experts welcome!
