Hot Meal:  Soup of the day, Fish Fingers or Scottish Breaded Haddock served with Chips, Southern Style Chicken Goujon Fajita, Quorn Fajita. Chicken Fries at breaktime.

Important Update (Mr McKay)
Please be aware that the Boys toilets in B block are not in use due to issues that require repair. We will update you in due course when these are open.

In the meantime, boys should be directed to the single toilets around the building in C block and A block.

The boys toilets outside are unaffected and will be in use at break and lunch.

School Show (Mr Wilkie)
A massive well done to everyone who audition for the Little Mermaid. So much talent in the school and you all shared this with us at your audition. The cast list will be posted up in both Music and Drama today. Even if you did not audition there is still plenty of time to join the ensemble. There will be a rehearsal on Tuesday 9th December after school in drama, so attendance is crucial. Its now time for us to go Under The Sea!!!!

Benchball House Event – Wednesday 10th of December (Mrs Poynter)
Next Wednesday is the first house event of the year, please sign up using the form below to represent your house and win some house points. The event will be held in the games hall in P.E, please have your lunch before you come down to the hall.

Medicine Interactive Carousel (Mrs Smith)
NHS Fife, in partnership with DYW Fife are delighted to invite S4 pupils who have a keen interest in studying Medicine to an interactive carousel event we are hosting within NHS Fife.

  • Monday 8th December – Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline (9:30am – 3:00pm)

The day will start at 9.30am sharp for registration and warm up. The morning will be spent doing carousel events including CPR, suturing, communication skills, physiological observations, injection techniques and learning about sensory deprivation. Students will be actively encouraged to participate in these activities under our careful supervision.

After lunch, we will have an opportunity to hear from Medical Students and Doctors about what it is like to attend medical school and the different ways that you can enter into this career. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions during this session. We aim to finish by 2:45pm.

S1 Pantomime (Mrs MacKenzie)
The English Department are running a trip for S1 to our local theatre- Adam Smith- to watch their performance of ‘Aladdin’ and there are still a few spaces up for grabs! The trip will take place on Wednesday 17th December 2025 and will cost £10. If you would like to go on the trip, please see Mrs Mackenzie (B28) for a permission slip.

Christmas Fayre – Raffle Donations (Events Team & Mr. Caldwell)
We’re excited to announce the Kirkcaldy High School Christmas Fayre on Tuesday, 16th December 2025, and we’d love your help to make it extra special! We’re putting together a festive raffle to raise funds for local charities, and would be so grateful for any donations – big or small – whether it’s a gift, voucher, or larger prize. Every contribution helps us create a brilliant selection of prizes, and donors will be warmly acknowledged at the event. Donations can be dropped off in D10. Fact: In KHS we are currently trying to reduce the cost of education by supplying free supplies such as stationary, sanitary products, food in home economics, bags and water bottles and other items. Please pop into Mrs Hume or to the PSO base if you need any support with these.

Gardening Club – Thursday Lunchtime (Mrs Brown)
If you enjoy being in nature and would like to be involved with looking after the school garden, then join Gardening Club – Thursday lunchtimes! Meet me at the garden, with your lunch, asap after the bell.

School Nurse Service (School Nursing Team)
The school nurse service runs in Meeting Room 1 every Thursday at break time. You can see them for all issues health related. Please use the QR code below to request an appointment.

Chemistry Study Support (KHS Chemistry Team)
Are you baffled by bonding, addled by atoms, or flummoxed by formulae? If so, Chemistry Study Support is available Thursday after school in A4/A5/A6. Bring all your problems to the lab bench. You could even use it as a quiet space to get some homework done. Everyone is welcome!

Japanese Club (Mrs Morris)
Come and join Mrs Morris in C9 after school for Japanese Club.

Drama Club (Mr McPherson)
Drama club every Thursday after school in Mr McPherson’s Drama Studio 15:30 to 16:25.
