S2 First Chances (Mr Dick)
Can all S2 pupils on the first chances program please attend a short meeting at Interval on Friday 28th November in A5 to discuss an upcoming trip.
Medicine Interactive Carousel (Mrs Smith)
NHS Fife, in partnership with DYW Fife are delighted to invite S4 pupils who have a keen interest in studying Medicine to an interactive carousel event we are hosting within NHS Fife.
- Monday 8th December – Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline (9:30am – 3:00pm)
The day will start at 9.30am sharp for registration and warm up. The morning will be spent doing carousel events including CPR, suturing, communication skills, physiological observations, injection techniques and learning about sensory deprivation. Students will be actively encouraged to participate in these activities under our careful supervision.
After lunch, we will have an opportunity to hear from Medical Students and Doctors about what it is like to attend medical school and the different ways that you can enter into this career. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions during this session. We aim to finish by 2:45pm.

S1 Pantomime (Mrs MacKenzie)
The English Department are running a trip for S1 to our local theatre- Adam Smith- to watch their performance of ‘Aladdin’ and there are still a few spaces up for grabs! The trip will take place on Wednesday 17th December 2025 and will cost £10. If you would like to go on the trip, please see Mrs Mackenzie (B28) for a permission slip.

Thank you all so much for those who came along to the auditions last week. We were all blown away by your talent and commitment you have shown so far. There will be no rehearsals this week. Please keep your eyes peeled for our next notice when the cast will be announced.

Christmas Fayre – Raffle Donations (Events Team & Mr. Caldwell)
We’re excited to announce the Kirkcaldy High School Christmas Fayre on Tuesday, 16th December 2025, and we’d love your help to make it extra special! We’re putting together a festive raffle to raise funds for local charities, and would be so grateful for any donations – big or small – whether it’s a gift, voucher, or larger prize. Rife
Definition: Rife usually describes things that are very common and often—though not always—bad or unpleasant. Rife is also commonly used in the phrase “rife with” to mean “copiously supplied” or “having a large amount of; full of.” Unlike most adjectives, rife is not used before a noun.
Example: Speculation about who would be sent to the new office had been rife for weeks.

Fact: Article 26 tells the Government to provide social and financial help to young people that are struggling – across the world it is estimated that 250 million children cannot afford to go to school.
