Word of the Week (Mrs MacKenzie)

Rife

Definition: Rife usually describes things that are very common and often—though not always—bad or unpleasant. Rife is also commonly used in the phrase “rife with” to mean “copiously supplied” or “having a large amount of; full of.” Unlike most adjectives, rife is not used before a noun.

Example: Speculation about who would be sent to the new office had been rife for weeks.

Rights of the Fortnight (Mrs Young)
Article 26: Social and Economic Help

Fact: Article 26 tells the Government to provide social and financial help to young people that are struggling – across the world it is estimated that 250 million children cannot afford to go to school.
