S1 & S2 Schools of Rugby (Mr Harrower)
If you are interested in being involved in a ‘School of Rugby’ programme, there will be a further meeting today at break in PE.

S4-S6 Volleyball Club (Active Schools Co-ordinator)
S4 – S6 Volleyball Club is starting on Tuesday (the 23rd) in the games hall at lunch time. Any questions please see Kate- Active Schools Coordinator.

Dyslexia Awareness Week Scotland (Mrs Lindsay)
This week is Dyslexia Awareness Week Scotland. The aim of this year’s campaign is to try and debunk some of the myths and misunderstandings about dyslexia. Scotland will only become a dyslexia-friendly country when everyone knows what dyslexia is – and isn’t. If you would like to wear a blue ribbon to show your support for Dyslexia Awareness please pop into room B25 and collect one. Further information can be obtained from the Dyslexia Scotland Website.

S1-6 Netball (Mrs Steedman)
Due to really low numbers across all year groups we are combining training nights to a Tuesday 3.30-4.15pm. Please can everyone who wants to play for the school netball team this year try your best to attend training starting this Tuesday! Remind your friends and get as many people along as you can!

Services Apprenticeship workshops (Mrs Smith)
These will take place at Building Services Business Centre, Muirhead, Kirkcaldy. Tuesday 30th September. 10-12pm

These sessions are targeted at senior phase pupils (S4, 5, 6) who plan on leaving school either winter 2025 or summer 2026. Pupils should have an interest in seeking an apprenticeship in construction/fleet/grounds maintenance within Building Services.

S4 STEM Careers Roadshow (Miss Irvine)

Thurs 30th October 9:30am – 1pm at D&A College

An opportunity for S4 pupils to meet and chat with:

Employers – get info about skills, qualifications, and what you can expect from a typical day at work.
College/Universities – get advice on entry requirements and the right course for you.

Christmas Fayre – Raffle Donations (Events Team & Mr. Caldwell)
We’re excited to announce the Kirkcaldy High School Christmas Fayre on Tuesday, 16th December 2025, and we’d love your help to make it extra special! We’re putting together a festive raffle to raise funds for local charities, and would be so grateful for any donations – big or small – whether it’s a gift, voucher, or larger prize. Every contribution helps us create a brilliant selection of prizes, and donors will be warmly acknowledged at the event. Donations can be dropped off in D10. You could also email Mr Caldwell, Mr Walsh and or Miss Samfat. Thank you for your generosity and support – we can’t wait to see you at the Fayre! 🎄

S5-S6 Winter Formal Dance
Tickets are now on sale for the Senior Winter Formal. Any pupils wishing to attend, please come to D9 where tickets are on sale for £5!! Come along to collect yours.

Culture Month (Mrs Gibb)
Continuing our celebration of the different cultures and languages within our school, we say goodbye to August and to China, and “Hiya” or “Ciao” to September and to …Italy!

Calling all likeminded S2 with an interest in coding. Meet in D6 every Mon. Bring your lunch. See Mr Turnbull in D6 for a pass.

Rights Respecting Schools Group (Mrs Young)
The Rights Respecting Schools group meet on a Monday lunchtime in B14.

Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)
Badminton Club will begin on Monday 8th September afterschool for all pupils in S1-S6 in the Games Hall. All pupils are welcome.

English Second Language Club (Ms Solowczuk)
This will run on Monday lunchtime in A10.
